PHARMACOLOGICALPROPERTIES
Amoxicillina triidrato 80% Chemifarma is
a veterinary medicine containing Amoxicillin, which is a broad-spectrum Beta-lactam antibiotic belonging to the group of semisynthetic penicillins with the bactericidal action resulting from the interference with the mucopolysaccharides in the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, this causes the rupture of the bacterial cell wall and consequently the lysis of the bacterium.
THERAPEUTICINDICATIONS
It is active against the major Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogenic agents.
In particular is widely used in the treatment of:
RESPIRATORYINFECTIONS:
bronchopneumonia, pneumonia, pleuritis.
GASTROENTERICINFECTIONS:enteritis.
URINARYTRACT INFECTIONS:nephritis.
GENITALINFECTIONS:
cutaneous infections; articular infections.
DOSAGE
0,1-0,2 g/10 kg b.w./day for 3-5 days.
It is recommended to divide the daily administration every 12 hours.
BROILERS
Early 4 weeks of age: 6-12 g/100 litres;
over 4 weeks of age: 10-20 g/100 litres.
Method of administration
Byoral route, carefully diluted in drinking water.
Instruction for a correct use
AMOXIFARMA
Remove any residual water from the drinkers and administer water medicated with the drug in the amount prescribed by the veterinary.
Renew the medicated water every 12 hours.
WITHDRAWALTIMES: BROILERS:4 days.
Additional information for a correct use
a. Interactions: avoid concurrent administration of other bacteriostatics such as tetracyclines, macrolides, sulpha drugs and quinolones.
A cross-resistance to the other penicillins has been observed.
b. Special precautions: avoid direct contact during handling.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not administer in the case of hypersensitivity to penicillins.
UNDESIRED EFFECTS
It may cause allergic reactions and sometimes gastrointestinal diseases.
INSTRUCTIONFOR STORAGE
Validity period:
24 months. Store at temperature not exceeding 300 C.
Validity period of the opened package:
2 months. Store at temperature not exceeding 300 C.
Validity period of the medicated water:
12 hours.Store at room temperature.
